Wolff
The Wolff BCC runs on process water and keeps operating costs down
Water Quality / ESG
- Dirty water bowl capability
- Manage your water balance
- No raw / filtered water required
Reduce maintenance – Opex
- Significantly reduced bowl change out time
- Lower wear rates
- Low head height eliminating crane use
The Wolff enables mines to improve resource availability and recovery while enhancing sustainability through the use of recycled water.
Successful site trial at the Maldon Processing Plant (VIC, Australia)
-
Installed and commissioned in August 2024
-
Achieving excellent recoveries (between 40 – 75%)
-
Decrease in reagents consumption by 35%
-
Decrease in stripping requirement of carbon, from 4 to 2 strips a week
-
The trial proved that recovery and availability are satisfactory
-
Operating on process water at 14 m3/h
Low head height requirements and “dirty water” option
- Segmented bowl for easy removal and maintenance
- No overhead crane required to replace bowl segments
- Large hatch for easy access
- Variable G-force to allow for flexibility
- Available bowl options/configurations: for dirty water and process water
- Sprung subframe to minimise vibrations to structure
Process Water Bowl
- 35” diameter bowl
- Polyurethane construction
- 5 collection riffles
- 12 panels (6 small, 6 big)
- 3 de-sanding ports per panel
- 30 fluidising holes per panel (6 per riffle)
- Small/big panel design to aid with panel removal, addition of tool slot for leverage
- 37 kW motor & VSD
Throughput
- Maximum 280 m3/h @ 70% w/v (200 t/h dry)
- Nominal 250 m3/h @ 50% w/v (125 t/h dry)
Water Quality
- Up to P80 <150 µm with top size of 600 µm
- Solids content <1%
Water Consumption
- 14 to 30 m3/h, dependent upon bowl pressure and G-force
Operating speed
- Up to 120 G (500 rpm)
Concentrate production
- 20 to 30 kg per batch depending on concentrate specific gravity
