At Gekko Systems, we’re committed to providing growth opportunities for young talent. By offering opportunities for professional development, Gekko hopes to contribute to the development of future leaders in the industry.
Recently, Charlotte Sykes completed a four-month process engineering placement with Gekko Systems. “It was an amazing experience that gave me great insight into the growing mining industry. I find it exciting to see how the demand for critical minerals in the renewable energy transition is driving the industry’s global shift,” says Charlotte.
During her placement, Charlotte spent two months on a remote island off Tasmania, working with the commissioning team during the final stages of opening the Group 6 Metals Limited Dolphin Tungsten Mine. This was a rewarding, hands-on experience for Charlotte, where efficient troubleshooting was vital to achieve the new equipment’s expected operational and recovery targets. Back at the office, she worked with Gekko’s clients on various global mining projects.
Gekko Systems remains committed to providing growth opportunities and appreciates Charlotte for successfully completing her process engineering placement with the company.
